Hypnotwist is a Fire and Flow artist from the UK. However he began his flow journey almost as soon as he arrived in NZ 2 years ago, after buying a van from an inspiring soul. Throughout their fire journey they have been taken around the country, visiting flow jams and festivals, sharing and learning from the flow community. Now with his partner and familiar red van, he can again be found flowing at Dimension!

He has haunted fire circles in several festivals throughout the summers, often drawn to fire deep into the night. He has always been inspired by the passion and dedication of other performers, and the support for eachother is where he fills his cup. This support from the community is his true inspiration, and drives his practice. Wanting to hype up friends and watch their reactions to new tricks.

In his private practice with flow he considers it a physical expression of mindfulness. A moment truly experienced, a void of thought, total focus and flowstate. It sweeps away the detritus of the mind.

Over winter he was based in Ohakune, and was responsible for starting the weekly Ohakune fire and flow jams with his partner. Here they hosted a flow space and began others on their flow journeys. Always happy to share skills, and inspire others to express creativity.

Performing his freestyle flow amongst the dancers or aflame in the fire circle, he will be showcasing a variety of props specialising in Contact Staff and Rope Dart. He will also be found performing with Contact Sword, Dragon staff, and more!

Lastly he is part of the Flow&Glow fire troupe. They are a collective spread around the north island who bonded at the fire circles through the summer, and will have their first production, The Alchemist ready to perform this year.
