PADANG RECORDS / ARKANA FESTIVAL / PERU

Mallki is the creator of Arkana Festival, which this year celebrates 13 years in the Sacred Valley of the Incas. He currently lives in Barcelona and is a DJ for Padang Records, an avant-garde label from Brazil that focuses on genres such as Dark Progressive, Psytechno and variants. Due to his long career, he would say, for several years he has been exploring different styles that includes downtempo music, progressive house, deep house, techno, minimal techno, psytrance, among others, which makes him a very versatile and unpredictable DJ.

He has played at several of the best festivals in South America such as the legendary Universo Paralello, Pulsar Festival, Zubuya, Terra em Transe, Resonar and Aho Festival in Brazil. He also participated in the last edition of Earthdance in Argentina, Inchala in Uruguay, Amazonas Andes in Bolivia and of course in Arkana in Peru. Always very enthusiastic and present in the development of festivals in South America, he is a promoter of the culture of alternative festivals in the region.

He has shared a booth with artists of the stature of Boris Brejcha, Dufire, Jamie Jones, Anna, Victor Ruiz and Dnox & Beckers among others at the UP Club of Universo Paralello. However, he always bets on underground and fresh sound rather than the music that is in fashion or the main stream.

Also in Mexico he has participated in several of the best festivals such as the mithic Ometeotl, Psycristrance, Ocelot, Space Odissey 3, Promise land, Poison Festival and the teaser of Modem Festival in Mexico.

In Europe he already played at the Bermuda Gathering in Finland, the Own Spirit Festival in Spain, Atman Festival in Portugal, the Eudaimonia Gathering in Greece, MO: DEM festival in Croatia and the incredible Suti Festival in Portugal. Now that his residence is in Europe, you will surely hear more about his skill behind the decks and his new project Domestic Pirates in collaboration with artists from different parts of the world.
