BAGGINS

Looking back, I’ve found myself digging through music that interested me ever since I had access to a computer. I tried picking up a couple instruments along the way but nothing ever lasted very long until my “musical journey” led me to fall in love with dubstep/halftime and drum and bass which also led me to learning how to DJ thanks to Too Much, Medium, Merks and Mittz helping me at various stages of honing my skills.

These bass heavy genres are at the core of my DJ sets and provide me a framework to convey different emotions as well as branch out into other genres as I move up in tempo. Atmosphere and emotion is a big part of what drives my sets, waves of light and dark generally leaning to one side more than the other depending on the day, time and mood, never letting the listener get too confident in what to expect next.

In the last year my “musical journey” has led me into music production, this has given me a much better sense of how to treat space in the mix and I’ll even have a few originals to showcase.
