KANGAPTA

Matthias, aka Kangapta, started DJing Psytrance in 2014 in his hometown of Lyon, France and soon after began performing independently at parties, festivals, and clubs.

While becoming established within the local psytrance scene, Kangapta joined the Outrance and Senoi Project organizations as a resident and Label DJ respectively.
Chris Rich, Ajja, Laughing Buddha, and Tristan were a few of the international artists Kangapta would share the stage with as his psychedelic journey began to blossom.

In 2017, Matthias had the honor of playing on the main stage of the iconic Hadra Trance Festival, after years of hectic participation as a party animal and volunteer.
Inspired by labels such as Looney Moon, Bom shanka or Sangoma, Kangapta arranges his set with many influences in psytrance music from full-on to forest... but he always keeps a particular taste for crazy rolling basslines, twisted breaks and killer drops with funky and cartoon-esque melodies.

He's travelling around New Zealand and Australia to share his unique vision of the psychedelic playground.
