RESONATE

Auckland, New Zealand based Resonate is a long-term passionate music lover with a background steeped in reggae, dub, funk and dubstep just to name a few. Resonate fell in love with deep dubstep in her early 20s after hearing Optimus Gryme’s Eclipse LP and some TRUTH tracks. Having never had the opportunity to learn to play Resonate bit the bullet and bought some second hand CDJs in 2014 and it wasn’t long before she was opening for one of her heroes, Truth, in a b2b set with One40 at Sandbar on Waiheke as Resonate.
 
Drawn to the deeper side of Dubstep is usually where you will find Resonate - bringing along heavy bass lines, melancholy lyrics and plenty of darker vibes in her journey through dubstep.
 
Resonate has playing sets across Auckland with the Port Dubz Collective, One Forty Dubz crew as well as getting amongst some of the Infraspective gigs run by Jamie Small and last year debuted her first AUM set for the Grand Dubbers Picnic and then Spectrum.
 
Resonate has played at various clubs, bars and festivals across Auckland including;
Sandbar Waiheke, Island Oasis Waiheke, Exquisite Pool Party Waiheke, Pointers Bar, Cassette Nine as well as fundraiser events such as Bass In Your Face and Surf & Sounds with the Port Dubz Collective, Twisted Frequency festival and is looking forward to throwing down her first set with us here at Dimension!
