THE PIPER

The Piper is the alter ego of Pied Piper Paul, a DJ who started back in '94 in London, spinning fresh Goa records and DAT tapes. Prior to this, he DJed 60-80's music in NZ from '84 to '86 at local club and professional events.

Now as The Piper, he can play 4x4 beats of a more techno nature, still with a pinch of psychedelic and a sprinkle of acid. After so many years, world tours and big festivals - all playing Psytrance - like Boom, Voov, Fusion Festival, The Piper was looking for a new sound to champion, so back to his roots - techno. He was going out to Techno gigs in Melb' in '91, the Greek isles and London from '92. Though with the rising new sound of Psytechno, he found a music that excited and kept his passion burning bright. He was invited to be Techgnosis Records label DJ in 2023 so he has a bag of unreleased tunes to now unleash on the dance floor. He's back co-producing with Lee E as L&P so you may find their work weaved into his sets.
