Beginners Shibari By Kaspian & Auckland Shibari Studio

In this absolute beginner's Shibari workshop, we will learn about the Japanese art of rope tying and restraining of the body. We will talk about the history and origins in the times of the Samurai, to the rise of the practice in the modern world, and then Kaspians modality of the practice today as an exercise for strengthening connection, deepening trust and Creating deeply meditative states on our partners.

This will all come with sensory experiences, how to negotiate consent and also most importantly, plenty of time to play with traditional ropes and learn some ties on yourself or a partner!

When the body is bound, the mind is free!

Big Dave

Big Dave stumbled upon a life-altering symphony of sound on the shores of Kariotahi Beach, New Zealand's west coast - the ethereal realm of psychedelic trance. From that serendipitous moment, the course of his life was forever charted in the vibrant waves of electronic music.

Big Dave's quest for sonic enlightenment led him across the globe to the heart of the UK, where he immersed himself in a three-year odyssey through the London underground scene. Here, he found himself at the heart of the action, dancing under the stars at outdoor raves and experiencing the raw energy of illegal ("squat") parties. Amidst the chaos and beats, he forged lifelong connections with fellow music devotees.

Now as the organiser of Dimension, he loves to share the raw energy of a proper psytrance party with the world!
