Matt has been performing in the flow art sphere for almost a decade, with experience in cabaret, teaching and workshopping, as well as LED and fire performance at festivals around the globe. Hailing from Dunedin, NZ where his fire journey began, flow arts allowed him to not only rehab his body after life threatening illness, but also took him around the world to festivals such as Rainbow Serpent, Burning Man, Enchanted Forest, Mysteryland, Desert Hearts and countless more.
Big Dave stumbled upon a life-altering symphony of sound on the shores of Kariotahi Beach, New Zealand's west coast - the ethereal realm of psychedelic trance. From that serendipitous moment, the course of his life was forever charted in the vibrant waves of electronic music.
Big Dave's quest for sonic enlightenment led him across the globe to the heart of the UK, where he immersed himself in a three-year odyssey through the London underground scene. Here, he found himself at the heart of the action, dancing under the stars at outdoor raves and experiencing the raw energy of illegal ("squat") parties. Amidst the chaos and beats, he forged lifelong connections with fellow music devotees.
